For all marvels of Sound!
Yet Man has only one single heart
Which reaches all around.
Maybe the marvels of sound cannot be described more precisely
than the way Franz Grillparzer does it in these four short lines.
Yes, this marvel has not left me all my life, and I am now trapped
by it more than ever.
It is my desire to share my own fascination with many people; my
audience, my students, the orchestras with whom I work, my loyal
friends and musicians and with the audience of my recordings from
near and far.
